
The Voyages Programme
The Voyages Programme is for adults who are stabilized or in
early recovery from drug use and who would benefit from an education
and training programme with a view to seeking employment or further
education and training.
FETAC Level 3 Computer Literacy – Provides
participants with basic computer skills and introduces them to a wide
variety of local services and organisations.
FETAC Level 3 Personal and Interpersonal Skills -
Provides participants with the knowledge,
skill and competence to interact constructively with people, from a
position of self awareness and social sensitivity.
It is FREE to do this programme.
How do we do it?
Voyages encourages people in recovery to engage in training &
education in a relaxed, non-judgemental learning environment.
Voyages is a 26 week part time programme which
takes place in the Fingal Centre (2-3 days per week).
There is a small daily lunch allowance for attendance on this programme.
How do you get referred?
You can be referred by the service or organisation you are linked
with such as Rehabilitation Integration Service, your G.P., Counsellor,
Finglas Addiction Support Team (FAST), Project Worker, Sankalpa or be
recommended by another organisation or you can refer yourself.
All referrals must be either from or living in the Finglas Cabra area.
It is recommended that all participants must be linked in with a
support service such as Finglas Addiction Support Team, an addiction
counsellor or Probation & Welfare before they start the Voyages programme.

Attendance Rate
Participants’ commitment and determination has resulted in a very
high attendance rate over the ten years of the programme. In 2013 the
attendance rate was: 80%
