Voyages 2011 – Phase 1, 20 week FETAC Level 3 Computer Literacy
I’m sad it’s coming to an end, but it really brought me out of myself because I didn’t have a good start and I was a bit iffy if I was going to finish it, but I’m glad I stayed. I just want to say thank you very much to Babs, Elaine and Declan “for putting up with me ha”.
***
In all the course is the best I’ve done in a very long time, glad to be picked for it made a lot of new friends in the last 20 weeks that I will stay in touch with we helped one another along the way which was good. I will miss it when it is over would love to come back and I would recommend it to anybody.
***
I highly recommend this course to anybody in a similar situation to me because I found it boosted my self-esteem because I feel I’ve learned something new which is always a good thing and the staff are brilliant at what they do and very helpful in many different ways.
***
Every trip we went on was really great and personally I would like to thank Babs & Elaine for bringing us on the outings, at times they had a lot to handle at the start of the course and anything they could help you with you only had to go to one or the other they would sort things.
***
Just want to say thank you to all the staff and facilitators for all the stuff I have learned over the last 20 weeks I really enjoyed my time here and I wish I could stay longer, had a brilliant time and benefited a lot and came a long way “Thank you”.

Would recommend Voyages to anybody it was an experience of a life time for me and I got so much out of it I don’t want to leave.
Were the Social Outings a beneficial part of the programme? Why?
- Yes, it helped the group to bond and get to know each other out of the room and we got to know the real people.
- Yes, for the break and we had a lot of fun at them and everyone else did aswell I think.
- Yes very much so because it brings the group closer together which makes Voyages a much easier place to come to.
- The outings were all great, they were all different. It showed us there are a lot of things in life not only drugs. The places we were brought to were really a great eye opener for us all.
- I think they were very beneficial as we learned a lot and it’s great to do things and bond with the group.
- Yes brilliant it gave the group time to get to know each other outside the class.
- Yes because you are put in a position where you have to mix and talk to the other members of the group.
Did the talks with the various organisations help you make decisions about your future, what would you like to do when The Voyages Programme finishes at the end of August 2011?
- Yes I found all the sessions very helpful and hopefully I’ll be moving on to one of the these places.
- They did give me a lot to think about when it finishes and there are so many things you can go into after the Voyages.
- Made me look into my future seriously for the first time.
I had all intentions of trying to get a place in Sankalpa but thinking about it not saying anything about anyone in the class. I thought about something else maybe I might get the chance to get somewhere to get clean I’m nearly 50 and hopefully would love to get clean, I will talk more in detail to the RIS worker.
