On Wednesday 19th October, The Fingal Centre held a special event highlighting the important work done in the community by our Family Services. The evening was a great success, and featured contributions from those who have benefited from the services we provide.

Highlighting our Family Services

The Fingal Centre is to hold a special event to highlight the positive impact of our family services. The event takes places on Wednesday the 19th of October in the Ardmore Hotel, Finglas. Attendees will see first-hand how valuable and important the supports and services we provide are to the local community.

Back Up Family Support Photography Course

Poster for Backup Family Support's photo courseThe Fingal Centre’s Back Up Family Support Programme recently ran a very successful photography course. This five week Workshop was designed and developed in collaboration with photographer Gianpaolo La Paglia. Participants were delighted with the course.

What some of the participants said:

Letter to Minister Pat Carey

The Home School Co-ordinators  of Finglas have written to Minister Pat Carey to express their concern at the loss of the Opt-In Youth Programme and the impending loss of the Back Up Family Support programme. Both of these programmes were facilitated by the Fingal Centre, which is committed to empowering the community of Finglas in combating poverty and social exclusion.
